Green smoothies have become somewhat of a trend now. Lots of people are looking for ways to eat healthier and lose weight. For me green smoothies were just another smoothie but with leafy veggies. In some ways I guess it’s a great way to get your kids to eat more fruits and veggies and yourself as well.
Even though green smoothies are the new “it” a lot of people still have a hard time drink them because:
- It doesn’t taste good.
- Some people don’t know what to add in it.
Don’t worry it took me a few tries to come up with the perfect recipes, until you find your own here’s my latest green smoothie recipe. If you love carrot cake you’re going to love this!

Green smoothie recipe: Carrot Cake
2 cups spinach
2 cups almond milk
1 cup carrots, cooked
3 tbsp raisins
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Steam carrots for 5 mins until soft.
Blend cooked carrots, spinach and almond milk together until smooth. Next, add remaining ingredients and blend again.
